Mental Health Status of Healthcare Professionals and Students of Health Sciences Faculties in Kuwait during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on mental health status healthcare professionals (HCPs) and undergraduate students in sciences center (HSCUs). In addition, it explored factors associated with increased levels burden among population. Methods: A cross-sectional was performed using two online-administered questionnaires: Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item (GAD-7), which were distributed parallel HCPs HSCUs Kuwait. These instruments are validated assessment scales status: depression anxiety (GAD-7). Statistical analyses carried out SPSS- version 25. Results: total 857 individuals (559 298 HSCUs) participated this study. The prevalence moderately severe or (PHQ-9 score ?15) respondents 66.6%. median (interquartile range, IQR) PHQ-9 significantly higher (20 {11.5}) compared (17 {8}). (GAD-7 36.7%.
